The Bar Harbor KOA Campground is under new management and WOW.... What a great and positive difference! We didn't think we would return after being very disappointed last year, but when we found out that the campground was under new management, we thought we would give them another chance. And we are very happy we did! The service is great... More

We always reserve and stay at KOA Campgrounds and we are usually very satisfied. In this case, Bar Harbor KOA was extremely disappointing. The customer service was simply awful. The people at the front desk were rude and they really didn't honor our initial reservation. From front desk to the pancake/breakfast area, everything was lagging major courtesy. We rate it... More

Stayed in delux cabin. Bad things; It would get too hot, even when the heat was set at 50, it would be 90. But not hot water, just Luke warm. Had a very nice tv, but it did not work. We were told none of the tv's work. 15 min drive into bar harbor, we would have liked to have... More

I called several times before and while I was driving from Minnesota to confirm my waterfront site and it was confirmed by the KOA office folks to me. The only reason I was driving all the way from Minnesota was because I could get a waterfront site. I was told on one phone call while I was on my way... More

Very scenic site, however for the price of $86 per night in the September season..it is not worth it. We are on the water and lack of sewer is a bummer. Makes you constantly aware of your water usage and this is not relaxing at all. it's not like you're gonna pull up stakes and make a bee line to... More

We stayed at this campground the weekend of the Fourth of July. We booked a site and when we got there we found the difference between ocean view and ocean front. The next day we were able to move to an ocean front site and couldn't have been happier. Clean facilities, excellent staff, close proximity to Acadia National Park, and... More

First the better things: Some sites can actually see the water and you can wade on the rocky, seaweed strewn beach at low tide. Then the less than good things: We arrived to find we had "misunderstood" the site we booked. We took a site with water and power but no sewer and later were able to switch to one... More

Our family of 4 stayed here over the labor day weekend holiday. We have a 23 foot pop up, and the sites were large and nice. We had plenty of room for the dog and the kids to run around. I liked that we were on grass! We had a nice view of the ocean and a 30 second walk... More

We had what must have been one of the top three sites at the campground. Our site was large and gave us a beautiful view of the bay and the striking sunset. We have been campers for 25+ years and have always stayed away from KOA campgrounds thinking that a chain campground would lack the personal touch of a private... More
