All of the reviews are accurate. Those who say it's a good budget value for Maui, as well as the ones who say it's a shame that it hasn't been improved. I only stayed here for 1 night on business. The room was adequate, but upon closer inspection it is on the rough side. This is Royal Lahaina's budget option,... More

We wanted to stay at the Royal Lahaina but it was booked the first night we wanted it so we decided to stay at the KOI for that one night. It is on the same property and is managed by the RL and allows you acces to the RH amenities. We knew the rooms wouldn't be as nice as the... More

It is just a shame that the owners of this property have no regard for it. It is a disgrace to be in this condition in such a lovely area. Location is fabulous but the 'motel' is just pitiful. DH called it the 'bates motel'. Wish we had our $ back. No excuse for this property to not be on... More

Warning pictures are nothing like the actual inn. Bathroom was falling apart there was no water pressure in the shower so it was useless to us. Bed was absolutely horrible you could feel the springs right through the mattress.this place needs to be condemned! On the good note we got the heck out of there the second night and upgraded... Yes it's cheap and it's on the beach in the west of Maui but it's also a filthy dump. Like other people's hair in your shower? Then stay here. The corridors look like a long stay motel and even the guy who checked us in seemed to feel sorry for us. Don't stay here - find a nice b&b for... More

Our room was oceanfront, but it overlooked the luau- not really a bad thing, we were usually in Lahaina, and it was ending when we got home. The first 3 days housekeeping didn't even wash our glasses or coffee cups, but then the staff must have changed, because we had clean cups! The room was run down, but clean. Service... More

This hotel was perfect for us, its part of a group of hotels next to each other so you get all the "nice" hotel perks without the crazy price. We were upgraded to a new room for free and we loved our stay. This is right on the beach so you can walk right to it from your room. Theres... More

Part of the Royal Lahaina Resort, this is their cheaper accommodation, but I would choose it again over their more expensive accommodation. It is literally right next door and all the facilities of the resort are available to you. It is situated right on the beach and overlooking (if you're lucky) the royal lahaina luau (which is meant to be... More

My worst Maui hotel experience ever! Very old building looks as if it is slated for demolition soon. Bugs in the bath and kitchen area. Old mattresses (which they did give me a feather bed, which certainly helped). Pesticide and moth ball odors thruout (had to launder everything when I returned home). Paper thin walls, I knew everything my neighbors... More

We stayed at the Ka anapali Ocean Inn in January for 10 days. The rooms are dated, but there is nothing else that you could say against this old hotel. It is connected to the Royal Lahaina Hotel and so you can use their pool and the bar and the restaurants. The beach is one of the few that is... More
