After the early morning trip to see the sunrise on the Haleakala volcano. It was and add delight when me and my family enjoyed the welcoming service and great breakfast at Kula Lodge. The ham and cheese omelet was delicious and the French toast is best with the coconut syrup. YummmmE.

My husband and I just stayed at the Kula Lodge (the Elima Chalet) for 2 nights in early March. We found it to be a very warm and inviting place to stay. There are only 5 chalets, which is nice and makes it seem less touristy. We ate breakfast and dinner at the lodge restaurant both days and had only... More

We needed to find a place to stay one night prior to us hiking the Sliding Sands trail into Haleakula. Many of the nearby bed and breakfast locations require more than one night. Kula Lodge allows one night stays. Kula Lodge is very close to the park entrance and an easy drive from the airport. We had a very nice... More

We had planned to go to Haleakala Crater and decided to stay at Kula Lodge. We read the reviews, so we understood their might be issues with noise and smell. And yes, there were issues with noise and smell. We did not spend much time in the room as we arrived late and left the next morning. As the other... More

It was not easy to find a decent lodging on a Saturday night...on the Thursday before! We had to take one of the most expensive units, over $200 with tax. That is not exactly our usual range! But, we enjoyed the saxophone music drifting over from the restaurant. We enjoyed the great view from our private lanai (got a bottle... More

Visited Kula Lodge after viewing the sunrise at Haleakala. Great combination of activities. We were pretty hungry after being up at three am and the Kula Lodge breakfast was just what we needed. I had the sunrise breakfast with the basic egg/bacon/toast combo which was excellent. My husband had the huge pancakes with macademia pieces and coconut and maple syrup.... More

We live on Maui and visit Kula Lodge with some frequency, often taking out-of-town guests there. Tonight was the first time we've been subject to "live music" during our dinner. A feeble saxophone player who cued up recorded "background music" on his Apple and then played along with it -- and quite loudly. When we complained to the maitre d'... More

Stopped today for a bite of lunch and the view. Although the view was wonderful, too bad we couldn't say the same for lunch. Mine was disappointing, worse yet my wife got very ill after having the crab cake appetizer. I called the manager Dennis to report the problem right away. At first he doubted the that my wife could... More

Had heard so much about their breakfast we stopped on our bike trip down the volcano. Best breakfast I may have ever had. Our party had eggs Benedict, waffles, the big breakfast and macadamia nut pancakes. I had the pancakes and they were the best. Warm maple syrup and coconut syrup topped them off. Absolutely fantastic! Service was as good... More

We stopped at this place for breakfast on our way back from watching the sun rise at the Haleakala Crater. The food and views from this place are awesome. After we finished eating, we took a walk around the property and it was truly beautiful.
