If you are looking for a quiet, off the beaten track place to stay, this is it. We stayed in the Banana Suite. Nice, clean, going to sleep listening to the sound of the waves (500 feet away) and wake to the sound of chickens (they are all over Kauai). It isn't a tourist trap or resort. Just a nice,... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Inn Waimea, in the Hibiscus Suite, and loved it. The inn is just 4 rooms. The furniture was a bit dated but it was very cute and comfortable overall. Our room was quite large for the price. The bedroom had a queen bed and was a nice size. We also had... More

We just checked out of Inn Waimea and we had a wonderful stay there. It's a charming, old-style inn in down-home Waimea with just four rooms. The broad lanai always had a comfortable breeze blowing gently through -- it's a great place to relax and enjoy the day. We stayed in the Bamboo Suite (upstairs, ocean-side with a view and... More

Inn Waimea is a lovely, tropical, no frill, get away from the rest of the world. It's quant setting and cozy rooms, make me feel like I am back at my grandmothers home. Nestled back in a community, Inn Waimea is just one block cottage away from the beach. In the evening there are wonderful breezes that blow through the... More

The staff cares about you, the beach is right there, and if you're visiting the canyon, it is convenient. The plumbing was creaky, the bed hard, but there was a fridge and snacks at no charge. Very clean and tidy. Nice front porch and off-street parking.

I stayed at the Inn Waimei a second time, and it was just as good the second time around. I stayed in the Hibiscus suite (on the 2nd floor) for two nights and then moved over to the Bamboo Suite for five more nights. I liked the Bamboo Suite better because you can hear the ocean, but both rooms are... More

Inn Waimea is a nice place to stay, people where nice, the room was very cute, but i rather not suggest it. Not because of the Inn Waimea, but because of Waimea. Hard to find any restaurant open in the area, it is also very hard to sleep with all the wild chickens surounding the house. The island is so... More

Perfect for an overnight on Waimea side of island! Two room suite with pull-out sofa (Hibiscus) worked well for our family of 3. Bed was very comfortable. Fridge with water and drinks, as well as coffee maker and glasses, mugs, etc. made this an easy space to eat-in rather than go out again. Good parking. Yes, other reviews are right... More

Not too much to say other than it's an excellent getaway spot that feels like home. There's a great view of the canyon from the back porch and kitchen area. We were sad to leave our home away from home. This isn't the main inn location, but one of the cottages you can book from them directly. Waimea beach isn't... More

I recently traveled to Kauai for the first time, and over the course of my vacation stayed at Inn Waimea, then at a B&B, and lastly at a 5-star resort. While all 3 accommodations were above expectation, Inn Waimea was by far the best value. The Banana Suite is twice the size and half the cost of your average nice... More
