Stayed a single night at the lodge, nice drive and beautiful view points of the canyon close by. Lodge cabin is no frills living which adds to the rustic experiance. Wouldn't want to stay here longer than a night or two, for people on a budget its ideal. If your into glam resorts dont book, if camping in a garden... More

it is an urgent warning to every traveler do not stay at the cabins of the Kokee Lodge, we had to spent on night during a bad weather period in march in one of the cabins, disgusting is our first description and we could add on a list of words to describe it even better, it was beyond imagination what... We stayed here for two nights in March, 2009 then visually checked one out again in December, 2011. Bear in mind that we have backpacked and stayed in the "guest houses" in Nepal so we are not afraid of rustic. These cabins have metal shower stalls that our 70% rust, the doors were falling of the kitchen cabinets and none... More

I would like to thank the friendly staff making us feel right at home!, The food and service excellent., The cabin was very nice and homey , The beds need to be upgraded and the water heater and stove very dirty and stink. Take pride in your cabins, Kokee is a gem, The views are breathtaking. You should upkeep you... More

Be in the proper frame of mind-location; you are minutes from some of the best hiking trails in Hawaii. The cabins are adequate to meet your needs. Cooking, a frig, and a shower, what more can you ask for. The kitchen and cabinet area are greasy, frig. is clean inside and large, bathroom is good, nice shower. Bedrooms are fine... More

The cabins at the Lodge of Koke'e have received mixed reviews - I read them all and decided to take a chance. I am very glad that I did. Here's the deal - This is NOT a luxury facility. Keep that in mind and you will not be disappointed. Our cabin was HUGE (#12 - Olapa) Located at the end... More

If you're absolutely starving, then it's your only option. But we'd strongly suggest you pack a picnic before heading up. We had a cheeseburger and kalua pork, and they both were not so good. My burger came with one apple slice. Fries or any other sides were not an option. Friendly staff, but service was on island pace. No view... More

Kokee is a jewel: lush, cool and full of native and endemic species. How fun to wake up in an old wooden cabin with a pot bellied fireplace to hear native birds chirping, to spend the day hiking, lounging and enjoying the "off the grid" life - no cell reception, no TV, no hassles. To best enjoy the Lodge: bring... More

My husband and I are pretty adventurous and enjoy the outdoors. We've stayed in state park cabins and we looked forward to staying in the Lodge for the first time since the accommodations are so close to the many hikes the park has to offer. We were a little nervous and concerned after reading some of the reviews that were... More

I like on Kauai and am also an outdoor and nature lover. I am use to roughing it, but these cabins were beyond gross. TRAVELER BEWARE: There is no noise ordinance nor is there any discernment on the part of the management to not rent to teenagers or put up any rules regarding noise. The pillows were moldy and the...
