We traveled to Kauai for our anniversary and ended up booking this hotel as a default as the local starwood st.regis and hyatt were all booked. So much for having starwood points you can't redeem. I have to say we were lucky as this place was perfect. The service and staff were great. There was a very personal feel as... More

We visited this hotel due to the reviews we read on this site. I can confirm, it indeed lives up to both the ratings and the recos. Stay here if you have a chance, it's one of the best places I've visited. Friendly staff, great views. The stay was worth the ducketts.

We wanted a quieter relaxing spot, but not a lack of services (I.e. open pool bar at sunset or bloody mary available at brunch, ability to eat outside by the view, dinner unavailable at 9pm when returning from a long day, a beach or a pool service of any kind, and maybe it's silly but it's the only hotel on... We stayed in Koa Kea as part of our Honeymoon in Hawaii, and had just come from the Four Seasons Maui. Although very different to the FS in Maui, Koa Kea was absolutely fantastic as well. It is alot more laid back and has much more of a boutique feel to it. The service feels incredibly personal and most staff... More

The Koa Kea is a very nice hotel. It is small, which is something I favour over the big sprawling resorts. The service is very friendly, the rooms are well-appointed if small (a bit too small for a 10-day stay), the beds extremely comfortable (high on my list of 'must haves'). We really liked how quiet it was, the pool... More

This is a small intimate hotel that somehow still has a feel of a luxury hotel. Services, food, everything was fantastic. The key is getting a good deal for a package that includes food/resort credit. It makes a world of difference when you're not worrying about the cost of breakfast and can sit there and enjoy breakfast. I had a... More

Hotel sits. In the middle of chain resorts, nice , quite, peaceful, staffs are all helpful, most of them are pretty too, I guess the hotel picks good look staff. Food is ok, I would recommend to go out locals for food. Most of the guests are young, with iPhone, iPad, etc, free wifi all over. You can rent the... More

This was our first trip to Hawaii so used the Trip Advisor to give us good hotel guidance and they certainly did not fail us with Koa Kea. What a wonderful hotel/resort. The rooms are very comfortable, the grounds beautiful, the staff wonderful. We stayed for 5 days and wished we had spent the entire vacation at this wonderful place.... More

We stayed four nights at the Koa Kea and loved every minute. Having stayed at much larger hotels on Maui and the Big Island, the Koa Kea was a welcome change! There are a number of things worth mentioning: 1) The first thing you will notice is that the property is small and intimate. It seemed that there were mainly... More

This is just a unique place. So new, contemporary, classic... just a jewelbox on the the south tip of Kauai. 120 or so rooms surrounding a shaded lagoon pool with separate jacuzzi. From everywhere, you can see the Pacific, and walk down to great beach. No need to get your car to walk toward several good restaurants and island shopping.... More
