In an expensive hotel in an over commercialized city. Kahili Mountain Park proves that you can have a good time without spending a lot of $$$. I am here during the winter season, which was the cheapest we could get the flight for. Be advised that it rains A LOT here during that time, so dress appropriately. The cabins range... More

When you stay at the base of a volcano, the clouds back up to the mountain top and can rain every half hour in the rainy season. Yet, leave the property and go to the beach and the sky can be clear and wonderful. Such is winter in Kauai. I've stayed here before. it's gotten a little run down but... More

We were a group of 6 from the mainland and we were on vacation during Thanksgiving. We arrived at night and it seemed pretty shady driving up a dirt road for more than a mile (it seemed) and through corn fields (we thought). But when we woke up the next morning, we realized we were among the clouds, in the... More

Some call it "roughing it." I didn't feel like that at all. Unless you can't live without a TV, these cabins are paradise. Very clean with wood beams, hard wood floors and a nice kitchenette. You are surrounded by mountains. Be sure to take the Kahili Mountain trail. It is very steep but after about 15 minutes of climbing, you... More

My wife and I stayed at the Kahili Mountain Park on our honeymoon in August 1991. We had a small bungalow for a week. It was perfectly adequate for our needs, and we enjoyed it very much. The bungalow was more or less a one-room grass hut, with a concrete floor, a small kitchenette, and a queen bed with a... More

I traveled to Kauai with a group of 14 people. We stayed in 4 cabins in Kahili Mountain Park. The cabins were comfortable. Each one has 4-5 beds and a small kitchen area with a sink, small fridge and microwave. It's a short hike to the bathrooms and showers but they are clean and well-maintained. Washing machines & dryers are... More

Cabins on the side of the mountain removed from all civilization. Very Hawaiian and great trails to explore. Wonderful people running the office -very laid back and accommodating. Rainier than beach areas especially in mornings but worth it--it's Hawaii in all its glory. I've stayed at Kahili many times and will hope to stay many more. School is close-by with... More
