We just returned from a week in the Aloha Sunset Cottage in Kilauea. This was our second stay in this wonderful cottage. It proved to be as lovely as on our first. The cottage itself has everything you could possibly want and more. You wake up in the morning to the sound of birds in the trees right outside your... More

My husband and I stayed at the Aloha Sunset cottage for three nights and were very sad to leave, indeed. It was perfect for us; charming, quiet, beautiful surrounding gardens, a deck, and many amenities: wifi, a grill, fully equipped kitchen, beach "toys," and very classy decor. The manager is gracious and obviously loves Kauai and is very friendly and... More

My husband and I spent a week at the Aloha Sunrise Cottage - it is truly a little slice of heaven. The grounds are gorgeous. The house has everything you need to be comfortable, including a well-stocked kitchen, boogie boards, beach towels and snorkeling gear. The bed is beyond comfortable. The owners (and their pets) are delightful. We asked Catherine... More

My husband and I have returned to the Sunset cottage two years in a row as it feels like "a home away from home". The very clean, private and comfortable cottage has all you need including a washer and dryer which is bonus after days of on the beach. The location is superb--just minutes away from great local and upscale... More

After saying “I do’s” on the south shore of Kauai, my husband and I headed up the coast to Aloha Sunset Cottage and paradise is what we found. Carved out of the most peaceful 7 acres you can imagine, Catherine and Allan Rietow have thought of every little detail to make your stay comfortable. From the well-equipped kitchen to a... More

We spent the tail end of our honeymoon here and wished we could have stayed longer. A cozy, relaxing home nestled in among a beautiful landscape. It was better than any hotel, it was a home and a home among the locals. We were free to walk around the property and eat the fresh fruit that we could pick! The... More

So happy we decided to stay at a cottage instead of a big resort. It was so nice sleeping with the sounds of the rain and jungle. The cottage is really clean and well kept. Tastefully decorated. Catherine was friendly yet gave us our space so we felt very secluded. Nice to have a full kitchen to cook some dinners... More

It was a fantastic deal to stay at the Aloha Sunrise Cottage, & it gave us a much more unique experience than a tourist-y resort. Very comfortable & extremely relaxing. Catherine, the owner, is so friendly & helpful that we felt right at home. We'd definitely recommend this to our friends & hope to go back soon!
