This very much met our expectations. Our first time to Kauai, we had three days at Ironwoods. Nothing fancy, just a clean, reasonably priced two bedroom place. While, yes, it is close to the highway, it is also an easy trek to Waimea Canyon and the beautiful Punahale Park/Beach. It also had washer and lots of clotheslines! There was a... More

we had a great time in this beach house! On arrival, we had a interesting talk with the female caretaker. The house was very clean and spacious. Everything what you need is on site (lots of bath towels, beach towels, 2 coolers, information about hikes,.......) The kitchen is fully equipped. There were a lot of things for breakfast : eggs,... Highly recommended house right across the street from the ocean on Kauai's west side. This is a great area to stay in not only for the beaches and scenery, but also to get some of the local flavour. This is where the Kauaians live, its away from built up touristy areas in the South, East and North. It is also... More

My husband and I recently returned from Kauai and had a wonderful 11 night stay from 4/23 - 5/4/2012 at Ole's Ironwoods beach house. We were greeted by the caretaker Shawn who was very friendly and gave us a lot of great information. The grounds are very well kept The fridge was stocked with breakfast foods and juice and a... We stayed in the Ironwoods House from 4/2 - 4/10 and had a great time. We had all the amenities of home, but with a wonderful ocean view. My husband and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary and were very excited about our first trip to Kauai. It exceeded our expectations! The on-site caretakers are absolutely wonderful people, great aloha... More

I've never stayed in a place like this. I've always stayed in hotels, thinking that they'd be the best, safest option. We were in Hawaii for 10 days and wanted to go to one of the islands. Not having any preference or any idea where to go we ended up picking Kauai. My partner did some looking around and some... More

Ole has thought of absolutely everything someone might need to feel right at home and ready to enjoy time in paradise. The onsite caretakers were very friendly and made themselves available but not intrusive at any time. We spent time enjoying the view every day. We used the bbq, enjoyed the fruit left for us and walked across the street... More

My husband and I stayed at Ole's beachhouse for 9 nights. Best nights sleep I've had in years! The sound of the ocean was perfect. There is a road between the house and beach, but not once were we distracted by traffic noise. It's very minimal. Shared every morning with a beautiful Kauai sunrise from our porch. Ole's caretakers were... More

We recently returned from our trip to Kauai and are suffering from withdrawals! We rented Ole's for 5 nights and enjoyed it immensely. There was road noise but it calmed down at night and listening to the ocean during the night was one of my favorite parts of staying here. Ole was a great help to assist in any way... More

i agree with some other traveller s that this rental is too close to a major highway, and that the traffic starts early, around 5-30 am.we were dissapointed to learn that our rental of the sea -grape house, was not going to be honoured,we were put in the ironwoods, which was propably better considering it was not as close to...
