We stayed at my Island B&B 24 years ago on our first visit to Hawaii and decided to go back on this trip. It was still as we remembered. A great place, so peaceful after busy Honolulu, it was bliss! We had the family room just for the 2 of us so plenty of space! Met great people there, managers,... More

What a find…a historic Bed and Breakfast in the rainforest and just minutes way Volcano National Park. If it seems like it can’t get better than that, Gordon, Ki’i, and Bryron were wonderful hosts. We stayed in the In Law room in the main house. It was cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend this B&B for your next Big Island... More

What a wonderful vacation! We spent 3 nights at My Island Bed and Breakfast in the family room on the top floor of this old historic house. We were made to feel very welcome and were given a fantastic itinerary for our 3 day stay. This is a family run business and they all had their part to play. In... More

Had an absolutely glorious stay here. It is old and full of history. The owners are warm and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was delish!!! Homemade breads, hard boiled eggs, cereals, fresh fruit, a different pastry (again home made) daily. Every morning we listened to Gorden tell stories about the area, myths and truths. Could not get enough. Hot water is... More

My husband usually shies away from B and B's but on this trip he surprised me and booked us a night in My Island B and B. I found the place to be very homey and welcoming. We were assigned to the In Law room in the main house. The grounds were beautiful. We arrived a bit early in the... More

We rented the Deck House. While the furnishings are worn, the heat provided by a wood burning stove, and the bathrooms nothing to write home about, we still enjoyed our stay very much. Gordon, Ki'i & Byron, our hosts, made us feel welcome and they have wonderful stories to tell over continental style breakfasts. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and... More

This is a lovely B&B in a gorgeous, tropical setting just minutes from Volcano National Park. Our family of four were accommodated in the attic family room, which was spacious and provided a half bath as well. Very comfortable room in the historic main house. Our breakfast was delicious and plentiful and enjoyed with the warmth of a fireplace. Gordon... More

This is by far our favorite place to stay on the Big Island. Each time we go, we treat ourselves to the Deck House accommodations, which give us a full kitchen to cook our own dinners while in the Volcano area. (You still get breakfast at the main house in the mornings.)The deck house is spotlessly clean and very comfortable... More

The gardens here are amazing, I loved the beautiful forest of Anthuriums and Ferns. Sleeping in the attic family room was a treat listening to the sounds of the rain forest. Gordon Morse knows all about Hawaii and Kilauae and loved hearing his stories at breakfast. Staying at My Island made our trip to Volcano very special and memorable. Thank... More

Gordon and Kii make you feel like family. Arrive early, you may not get to check in but you get more information from Gordon about what to see than you will at the very busy park visitor center. He sits you down and gives you the places you need to see in Volcano. Breakfast with homemade bread, jelly and yogurt... More
