Let's get the negatives out of the way, neither of which is the fault of Steve. The mossies come out about an hour before sunset and if you are a light sleeper, in other words someone who cannot sleep through a million coqui frogs shouting at each other until 2 a.m. then this might not be the place for you.... Spacious suite with two beds, private door to the lanai, pool and garden. Our host Steve Welsh provided an excellent breakfast every day--waffles, muffins and scones, banana bread, smoothies,beautiful fruit platters as examples. We stayed 8 nights and enjoyed our time in this delightful suite. Highly recommend Orchid Tree.

Ideal spot to enjoy the many activies and sites on the Big Island. Would definitely return and recommend. Couldn't ask for better host. Steve makes amazing smoothies! Lots of knowledge about the island. Easy walk to a lovely beach.
