Sorry for the delay in review but I wanted to make sure and let everyone know about our wonderful experience here in November 2010. My wife and I stayed here just 1 night during our honeymoon trip around Hawaii but this was definitely one of the highlights. I had stayed in the Kealakekua region once before during a prior visit... Emily greeted us like lost family and showed us to our palatial room. No glass in the windows, so the ocean breeze keeps the air fresh and perfect. Out the screened window: the Bay with Captain Cook's monument visible across the inviting water. Breakfast by a neighbor using fruits and coffee from her own garden. A fascinating author (guest) as... More

I stayed in the B&B guest cottage, rather than inside the B&B, but I can certainly recommend the B&B based on what I saw. The B&B house looks quite nice and is set on a lovely piece of well-tended property overlooking the bay. The location is superb: it is just a few minutes' walk to some small beaches on the... More

Wow, this place is a real slice of heaven!! The gardens are wonderful packed full of beautiful plants and vegetables gardens, the veggies are served in the breakfasts or given to guests who would like to make a salad or have a snack. The views are like something out of a travel magazine. The staff, well they make the place... More

If you are heading to the Big Island and don't want to stay at a large, impersonal resort but want a taste of real Hawaii, then this is the place to go. Kealakekua Bay B & B is spectacularly located a short walk from the Bay itself, and the view from the property is irresistible. I could have sat on... More

Everything about Kealakekua Bay Bed and Breakfast is charming, warm, beautiful, and quite special. The house, itself, is marvelously decorated in the simplest and most tasteful way. It is spacious, welcoming, and comfortable. The grounds are landscaped so that native trees and flowers blend seamlessly with a beautifully landscaped garden. And the view is beyond words. I never tired of... More

This review is well overdue, as we stayed at Kealakekua back in March of this year. We were redirected to this B and B at the last minute, following a water damage issue that forced us from our originally planned stay at another B and B up the street -- as it turns out, we couldn't be happier! The property... More

This was by far the best experience I have ever had. I cant say enough about how wonderful Emily was. She made my stay so welcoming and wonderful. This is a place that I will continue to come and stay every year, I am so glad that I discovered it.

This is as lovely and peaceful as Hawaii can get. The views are amazing, the grounds are amazing, Emily is amazing. We especially enjoyed the gardens. There's a small beach down the road that doesn't get great reviews in any of the books, yet it's perfect because there are just a few sweet people there. The snorkeling is simple there... More

Emily is an amazing innkeeper, we had a wonderful time. Every view from the house is just incredible, it's ~10-15 minutes from Captain cook, right near several coffee tasting places and just up the street from the kayak launch into Kealakekua bay (not far from Place of refuge national monument). On the one day we had to get moving in... More
