We booked a room at a moments' notice. We found the experience a real value. All the rooms are decorated in period furniture, including antique beds. The innkeepers were away, but Lee and Mary couldn't have been nicer. Breakfast the following morning was great, then off to ski! More

Lori &Dave Torkko are the consummate B&B hosts...fun and friendly...knowledgeable about the area (there is actually a LOT to do in the Wausau -area)...great location...and out of this world breakfasts! If I owned a B&B I would want to be just like the Torkkos. More

I stayed at the Everest Inn for three nights while in town on business. The inn is clean and cozy, with both wonderful antique-filled bedrooms and comfortable common spaces to hang out, and the hosts make one feel right at home. Dave and Lori have truly found their calling as innkeepers and are long-time Wausau residents who know lots about... More

I had a funeral to attend this Saturday and looked up hotels in Wausau on Friday. When I scrolled down the usual suspects of hotels I kept scrolling. I ended up on the B & B lists and the Everest. I couldn't believe the prices. They didn't seem right. I called. The prices were more than right; they were excellent.... More

I went to Wausau to see the Birds in Art exhibit at the Woodson Museum - I'd go back again for it and to stay at this marvelous B&B. The owners make you feel like you are part of their family. Breakfast was great too! More

We stayed one night, Saturday, June 18th. Lori was VERY helpful and nice over the phone leading up to the trip. Check in was easy. Dave and Lori were very welcoming and friendly but also more than accomodating in giving us our privacy too. We rented one of the rooms that shares a bathroom, it was only $57 a night... More

My husband & I spent our wedding night here a few years ago & come back to celebrate our anniversary. GREAT Bed-and-Breakfast especially if you enjoy a historic home loaded with antiques. Lori & Dave are wonderful hosts--really make you feel like you've come home! The location is great--downtown is walking distance. Breakfast is homemade. Lots of common areas, but... More

Stayed here for the first time in 2002, and have been coming back ever since. The inn-keepers, Dave and Lori, know everything about Wausau, and the Inn is located within walking distance of downtown, so is perfect for a weekend stay (or longer!). There are always interesting people staying at the Everest Inn, and whether we want peace and quiet... More

The Everest is centrally located in a lovely historical district. It's a big house -- a big front porch, a screen-in porch in back, and a comfortable dining/living room area for people to sit around in. But the real attraction for the visitors seems to be the kitchen. Either Lori or Dave seems to be there all the time to... More
