White Pines Victorian Lodge operated as a regular B&B for eight years. In 2009, we joined 2 of our guest suites together to offer apartment type lodging for groups of 3 or 4 people, complete with fully furnished kitchen; lovely for longer stays. Our Wisconsin Room guest suite is just as it always was. Meanwhile, the massive restoration on this 1870 Victorian house has been completed, green-restored, historically preserved, and as always chemical-free indoors and out. First business in Door County certified green by Travel Green Wisconsin. We no longer serve the huge breakfasts we used to do, but there's still coffee, great choice of teas, and goodies for a light, healthy breakfast for guests in the Wisconsin Room, and those who prefer not to use the kitchen in the combined English Manor-Log Cabin rooms. If either were your favorite, you can still enjoy them as you remember them.Sturgeon Bay has built a nice new bandstand in a park downtown; we've had wonderful live music there all summer. Just minutes walk to quaint shops downtown, restaurants, beach, our beautifully restored and just recently historic steel bridge, boat tours, and all that this lovely harbor town has to offer. Leaves change color later every year, so the island's trees are at their most fantastic in November now, stretching "the season" much longer these days.
