My friends had their wedding reception at The Lodge at Leathem Smith and so I decided to stay 3 nights. My room was the very nice, clean and comfortable and overlooked the grounds by the pool (which was closed at the time due to the cold weather/season) The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed walking around the neighbor... More

What stood out to us is the friendly and helpful staff. We had heard that there was new ownership and looked forward to staying there. It appears they are changing out the furniture in the rooms but the rooms are dated. There is not a refrigerator or microwave in the rooms and that was not too surprising, but there was... More

My husband and I planned a wedding from out of state with the lodge. Although planning from out of state was challenging, The Lodge staff and owner were available to answer any questions or concerns we had. They were very flexible with their schedule to accommodate what worked for us. The best part of our experience was that Paul and... More

As the father of the bride, I feel compelled to write a comment about our experience which can be summed up as “awesome”! The Lodge management was excellent, professional and extremely attentive to our needs (and with an outdoor wedding in February that can be many)! Facility for holding the event was truly 5 stars all around: Beautiful lodge style... More

In early November, 40 of my closest friends and I attended a fall quilters' retreat at The Lodge in Sturgeon Bay, WI. It was a wonderful vacation filled with time to sew, enjoy the company of other quilters, and experience the pleasures of a wonderful lodge on the waters of Door County. The staff was welcoming and pleasant, and the... More

HORRIBLE...... We went there for a wedding and there was nothing pleasant about the place or the people working there. Check is was slow and the lady wasn't pleasant. Room had a horrific musty smell and the beds were hard as rocks. Went to the reception and the manager yelled at the kids all night long and proceded to yell... More

5 stars for the wedding reception! I highly recommend this place if that's what you're looking for. Very comfortable for 200 guests. Foods was excellent and service great! 2 or 3 stars for the room: it was musty and had no coffee pot, fridge or microwave. The only soda machine had only Dr. Pepper products; no Coke and no Pepsi.... I debated between giving The Lodge two stars versus three. I was told new ownership bought the place 1-2 years ago and have been busy renovating/refreshing the facilities; it seems to be the case. I decided to go with three stars because I'm hoping for the best. The room and common areas were clean and well maintained. Our room was... More
