“Great food, wonderful resort”

Spent three days at this great resort. A truly beautiful location with the charm of being in the north woods. We had breakfast, lunch, & dinner there two of the days. Food was great. They do all their own baking, and what a treat. Great coffee cake in the morning. How about sandwiches on homemade bread for lunch and rolls... More

“Holiday Acres is the Place To Be!”

The Holiday Acres Resort must have really been something in its day - it needs a little TLC and some spring cleaning. “A cabin better than a tent”

This is a nice little cabin right on Lake Thompson. These are old cabins but they are better than a tent. They have your own kitchen and bathroom. Your are responsible for your cleaning during the week but they clean when you arrive. The beach is a little small but it works.

“Great banquet facilities & hospitality...”

Recently our conservation organization hosted a dinner-banquet fundraiser here, and I was most impressed by the super-attentive event, bar, and wait staff. They were clearly focused on making sure each of their guests had a wonderful visit, and knew how to get the job done.
