My husband and I stayed here for two nights and it was very peaceful. The inn itself is beautiful with old-world Irish charm. The staff were extremely friendly, especially the hostess and waitresses. The food at the restaurant for dinner and the included (free) breakfast were all outstanding. We had the shepherds pie, the rum chicken and the Guinness brownie.... More

This place is a gem! Very Irish in it's furnishing's and theme. The restaurant which is on the main floor has delicious & authentic Irish fare with a very well stocked bar. A full breakfast comes free if your an overnight guest. The rooms are quaint and charming. A very good coffee shop is located next door. This is my... More

My husband stayed many times at the Stafford when he was working. After retirement we have been here several times and also brought friends with us to enjoy the little bit of peace and quiet in a quaint WI town. The Inn has been around for a very long time but still maintains a lovely, quiet existence with their quaint... More

The old hotel lends itself to an inn atmosphere. The bar is set slightly away from the dining area and is warm and cozy with an excellent selection of beer and bourbon. The menu offers traditional Irish fare and more. We were pleased that the sauce on the two dishes we ordered was light and tasty and did not overwhelm... More

We have been going to 52 Stafford for 23 years. We started on our First Anniversary. It has been a fav place of ever since. Going there for St. Patrick's Day is a Blast. We are from Chicago so we can only do St. Patrick's Day when it starts hitting the weekend, but it is so much fun. We also... More

My wife and I have been going to Plymouth annually for a winter-sports get-away. It's walking distance from a great family friendly skating pond and minutes away from Greenbush, (also known as "Nordic Heaven", one of the best, if not the best ski trail system in southern Wisconsin). Plymouth is a charming little town with an old-style downtown dotted with... More

We stayed here for a brief weekend get-away. Had Friday night dinner here. I was tempted to try one of the fish dishes (after all, it was Friday night) but went with the braised lamb shank. Good choice. It was meaty and tender. Good broth with it. My wife had the smoked pork with apples - very good and enough... More

52 Stafford is a gem in a small town with lots of character. The staff, who all seem to work together to make this place run, were all very friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated, nice and clean. Make sure to book a room with the double whirlpool, it was well worth it. We had the room right... More

Friends invited us to join them at this, one of their favourite hotels. As a Brit who loves B and Bs I was looking forward to the trip and was wowed by the beautiful room. Spacious, fresh and beautifully decorated, I did not see the worn look that other reviewers told about. Food in the dining room was good with... More

Came midweek for great music in the pub. We waited five minutes or more before someone wandered to the check-in area to help us register. Dinner was delicious! Omelette breakfast was wonderful. Quiche breakfast was...well...neither of us could eat it....terrible. The place in general needs an infusion of cash for painting in the restaurant, caulking in bathrooms, and such (noted... More
