An old motel/lodge that needs updating. Fine if you dont plan to hang in your room much...and why would you with the incredible New River Gorge around you?! The rooms were good and comfortable. The staff was friendly. There are two computers in the lobby for guests to use, very nice. Limited WIFI connections, had to continue to try for 30 minutes. We booked as a group and needed 8 rooms, they didn't put our rooms close together.

We stayed two nights during a rafting trip. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms seemed a little dingy. I had a nice weekend at the Holiday Lodge- it was everything I needed to enjoy an active weekend in the area. It has a rustic charm- it could use some sprucing up but it has comfortable rooms, friendly service and a good location. An old Holiday Inn in a great location to get you to rafting or biking. No frills rooms but they were clean. Average value for the price paid. Breakfast in the restaurant was awful but the service was great. I'd stay there again just because it's close to attractions.
