I thought this hotel was a little dirty and definitely smelled like smoke. The air in my room was musty and when I tried to make it cooler, the room got very humid. Very hard, old beds. Did not have a very comfortable stay, but the staff was very very nice.

Las Vegas in Charleston. If you missed Las Vegas in the 70's you can get an idea of what the decor was like by spending a night at the Fairfield Inn. The lobby, like many hotels, does not reflect the rooms. The place looks and feels dated, but our room was clean. If you are traveling, the location is the... More

The hotel has a rather dated look, but it is clean and the rooms are comfortable. It is located downtown, so there is little going in the area at night. We walked quite a few blocks to a shopping mall and ate at a very good seafood restaurant. The location of this hotel is good for us as we travel... More

We stayed here one night during a trip north. Convenient location downtown and right off I-77. There's a Best Western right next door that, from the outside, looks newer. The Fairfield was clean and reasonably well maintained. It just looks faded. It's in need of some new furniture and general upgrades. Not up to Marriott standards but nothing wrong with... More

I stayed here for a night. The location is convenient to both the capitol area, the river if you want to run/walk, and the most interesting downtown neighborhoods. Great service, especially from Bobbie at the front desk- what a pleasant, helpful employee with great suggestions for walking itineraries. Charleston is a nice diversion for a day or so with historic... More

Drove 6 hours with my daughter to keep her company on her business trip. Check in was fine...we needed a late check out, which at first seemed to be a problem, but with in 5 minutes, we were told that would be fine. Nothing fancy about this hotel. Room was clean and cool. Nicely decorated. Offered a very nice cont.... More

Save your sick days and stay somewhere else. The air conditioner blew directly on me while I sat at my computer. I knew it smelled musty in the room, but the chunks of visible mold was proof that I wasn't just being sensitive to the smell. It gave me a sore throat, I lost my voice and was generally miserable... My husband and I stopped here on the way from Virginia to Ohio to visit family. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the continental breakfast was what you would expect. Overall, a great place to stop on the way to your destination.

We stayed one night. Our room was great and I thought the breakfast was good. Within walking distance to Charleston downtown attractions. I would book here again.

We can reccomend this hotel for anyone passing through Charleston. The room was clean. The shower had a grab bar which was a help. When we had trouble connecting to the internet, the hotel loaned us the device needed to make our Dell computer work on their system. The desk clerk came up twice to help with this. A good... More
