The Fairfield Inn is centrally located in downtown and within walking distance of many restaurants. While I would like to give this hotel a better rating (I'm a Marriott Gold Member), it is really lacking. The interior is extremely outdated and dark. The rooms are not much better. I think the only things have been updated are the flat-screen TVs... More

My daughter and I stayed here for one Sunday night. We had a flight out super early the next morning...6AM, so we just needed a room to lay our heads. We got there around 8:30pm..quick easy check-in with very friendly front desk clerk. Room was just fine and looked clean. After getting settled and ready for bed, I realized the coffee... More

Easy access off interstate; convenient and within a short walk to restaurants and very nice downtown shopping mall. Friendly staff; complimentary breakfast. No eggs or bacon/sausage, but had hard-boiled eggs and make-you-own waffles which were delicious; yogurt, cereal & juice, muffins. Staff friendly and professional.

Let me begin this review with the following background information on me. I travel for work in a territory of mostly western Pennsylvania, western New York and West Virginia. My expectations are not that of the Palomar-Hotel in Philadelphia, or even that of a Double Tree on Route 90 in New York. No, mine were the following: convenient location, decent... More

This hotel is in downtown Charleston, perfect if you are going to the Clay Center, Town Center Mall, or hospital (all within walking distance). But you have to understand downtown Charleston. Not a lot of room and older, tall buildings so it is not going to be like staying in new construction. I personally think Fairfield Inn did a great... More

I travel a lot for work and pleasure and often stay at Marriott properties. Never again for this one! The Fairfield Inn in Charelston WV needs a complete overhaul, and even more importantly a CLEANING. The hotel smells like bottles and bottles of some cheap cleaning fluid has been poured onto everything in an attempt to mask some OTHER smell.... More

My vehicle was damaged in the parking lot by someone scratching the trunk with a key. Manager was very unresponsive. Police never came to take a report after repeated calls. Parking lot is not monitored by security cameras. Beware of vehicle damage due to folks transiting across the hotel parking lot.

Our son suffered a massive stroke and we had to go to Charleston WV from our home in Florida to stay with him. The Fairfield Inn went out of their way, far beyond what I have ever experienced from any hotel I have ever stayed in, to help us out. The front dest was outstanding, very soliciitatious and anxious to... More

I found this hotel to be very nice, including in regard to other Fairfield Inn properties. It appeared to have been updated within the last few years and the lobby and rooms were very clean. All staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located very close to downtown, convenient when you have business in the... More

We stayed two nights in Nov, '11. The hotel is in fair shape, but in need of updating. The staff here is friendly and competent. Cost was moderate, so we got what we expected. Good location, just off the highway, but no noise from it..
