For the price paid, we were disappointed with what we got. The bed was uncomfortable and had a large central depression that made us both gravitate inward (it also squeeked with every minor movement). Otherwise things were OK, but for ~$200/night we had much higher expectations. The house is on a very busy (and noisy) street. We've stayed at many... More

Dear GoodEatsnStuff, I am very sorry that you did not have an enjoyable visit with us at the Branch Colonial House. I would have loved the opportunity to make sure the bed was to your liking. I'm not sure of the date of your trip, but all beds were upgraded at the beginning of 2012. Thank you for your visit More

The rooms are clean and spacious and we loved the jetted tub. Robin is an excellent cook and knew how to start our day off with a tasty latte. Location is great as it is only a couple of miles from the proctor district or downtown Tacoma.

Perfect place to feel at home. Had a nice corner room with a great view of the sound. Was made to feel welcome and loved the breakfast that was provided. Espresso was wonderful! I will definitely be back again. Thank you Branch Colonial! J King

Had a wonderful time and weather was Great. Location was nestled in an old neighbor of Tacoma, close to water, museums, and shopping.

The place feels like home, Robin the owner is sweet and very nice, treats you like family, and rooms are warm, spacious, is quite, and the view from the rooms of the tacoma river is really nice. The breakfast, what can I say, is five stars. Love it and we will come back soon. First class.

We had a great time in the Puget Sound but the best part was staying at Robin's warm and charming Branch Colonial House B&B in Tacoma. We loved our hot breakfast and well crafted lattes every morning and looked forward to having a catch-up with Robin, our energetic and very thoughtful hostess. Great location, we loved all the local shopping... More

I've stayed here many times, both alone and with husband. Comfortable, clean, quiet. Wonderful, large bathrooms! Excellent breakfast (esp. coffee/espresso, mmmm!) and friendly advice and info. Even Tacoma, which can be a little dreary, looks great from here. Big trees, walking neighborhoods nearby and close to Universities, harbor and downtown too.

From the time we arrived, we were part of the family. Our room and bath were nicer than a suite at a four star hotel but it was cozy, too. We were given excellent restaurant options for dinner that evening and they were all close by. Breakfast was a culinary experience. Nothing like a continental breakfast. This innkeeper should be... Nice B and B....Excellent food. Difficult for older persons because of rooms. Stayed on lower level and there was a step up to shower and toilet moved when in use. Would stay there again
