We stayed one night only at the Bishop, and were impressed with the small things. Service included in-room breakfast, the room was quiet and spacious, and the location perfect to see Port Townsend. Central position in town, one street back from the main road (Water St).

Whether making a reservation or checking out, both Lauralee and Don are pleasant and helpful ! We had room #22. It was even more picturesque than the website shows. A bottle of wine was delivered to our room shortly after we settled in.Being that I am not a morning person, I appreciated the breakfast basket of our choice left at... More

We spent two nights in one of the 2-bedroom suites (#16). This had two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and the living room had a queen-sized sofa-sleeper. I'm over 6' tall and the sofa sleeper was actually very comfortable. The living room has a HD TV with cable and a DVD player, a couch, coffee table, and what I... More

This gorgeous hotel was the perfect place for our little family to stay during our vacation to Port Townsend. The decor and furniture were incredible (so Victorian--but with a great flat-screen TV and DVD player and a really nice bathroom! Hooray for indoor plumbing!), the suite was clean, and the kitchenette came with everything we needed to cook a few... More

If you're going to stay in a Victorian town, you have to stay in a Victorian hotel. We stayed at the Bishop for one night at the end of our trip in the Olympic National Park. It is a very charming little property at the edge of downtown, and we were very pleased with our stay. The innkeeper was very... More

We spent five weekdays at the Bishop (four nights) in one of the King Suites (#18). The pictures on the Internet made it look not only homey but elegant. We were delighted to find a small refrigerator, microwave and dishes in the kitchen (also a toaster and iron). It took us a bit longer to locate the hair dryer, but... More

The elements that keeps this property from receiving an "Excellent" rating are largely outside the operators control. While a tad worn, this enchanting three story facility is well appointed and expertly looked after. Staff is excellent, the bed in our room also excellent and while the thin walls that come with a 100+ year old building are concerning (toddler screaming... More

We have stayed at the Bishop at least 15 times over the years. Port Townsend is the cutest little seaside town - it is quiet and simply full of pure charm. This hotel is great - they take dogs and we have brought our dog Charlie there many times . This is an old building it is a Victorian building... More

I like the idea of the Bishop very much. Suites with gas fireplace and basic kitchen set up. I feel like $150 (before tax) was too much to pay for what we received and our time of visit, winter and off season. I have several reasons: the poor condition of the bed, very soft mattress and very squeaky. Just turning... More

Although we monitor each suite for any deficiencies, guest reviews remain our best source of information. Consequently we appreciate all guest reviews and thank you for yours. One guest checking out of Suite 22 on January 1st mentioned that bed as being squeaky. That situation was addressed the next day by our maintenance team and fixed. Today we double checked... More

I recently visited Port Townsend for the first time and am so happy I chose to stay at The Bishop Victorian. The hotel was charming and the staff were so pleasant. When we arrived, the front desk showed us places of interest around the waterfront and recommended restaurants, including Hanazono Asian Noodle which was delicious. She also had listings for... More
