The hotel is an old historic building on the Water Street. The room could have been very charming - and it was by itself but the very old (and I don't mean antique) and worn out furniture made an unfavourable impression. Though the bed was good, and the unit overall was clean and spacios. Be aware of no TV in... More

We read the negative reviews, but decided to book, anyway; we don't mind a little adventure now and then. We're really glad we did! It's a very old building, charming quirks, and it's stayed authentic, so we expected her so show her age. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfy with nice linens, room and bath were generously... More

We stayed in room 3, with a water view. There were bleach stains on the dark coloured carpet. No TV in the room. Old phone took over 30 seconds to get dial tone after dialing 9. No Kleenex in the bathroom or bedroom. The formerly white towels were grey, stained and rough to the touch. The bath tub finish was... More

The Belmont Inn is located right in the Old Town section of Port Townsend overlooking Puget Sound. The Belmont only has 4 rooms: 2 on the water side and 2 facing the street side. We booked a streetside room for only $50/night, which I thought was a bargain! The room was large, the bed was extremely comfortable, the room was... More

Anybody reading these whiny ,sarcastic remarks should completely ignore them. We come from Seattle at least once a year in the dead of winter when its quiet and affordable. Again this year for Christmas. This is a really fun place to stay, wonderful rooms plenty of restaurants around the harbor. People stop gripping ,just because its not your own home doesn't... More

My husband and I stayed at the Belmont one evening for a short getaway. We were greeted by two huge swarms of flies in the lobby and an unpleasant smell. The carpets in our room felt very dirty, so we kept our shoes on the whole time. There was dirt and cobwebs in every corner. The bath room seemed clean,... More

This is like being in Europe. They only have four rooms above the restaurant and you have to ask at the restaurant for a room. We had a street side room that was huge, nicely decorated and clean. It has 14 ft ceilings and we've had hotel rooms in Europe that are smaller than the bathroom. A slight exaggeration, but... More

Although we did not stay in the hotel itself, we stopped by the Belmont for dinner. We were a little hesitant at first because the lobby area seemed a bit uninviting (an almost dead container plant?!) but the menu really sounded nice. Well, we were absolutely stunned by just how good the seafood was!! Every dish was perfect. SO happy... More

Port Townsend is very expensive, it's hard to find something at a good price. The Belmont inn Hotel is right in the middle of main street and it's medium pricy. it's weird....the reception is the one of the restaurant and the entrance of the hotel is the little door close to the restaurant entrance. they'll give you the keys to... For the price (60 dollars) we got a nice big room. It was old, but not dumpy or run down. Kind of charming in an old-timey hotel kind of way. No TV, but the bed was really comfortable. Our experience was fine, and I don't know why everyone's giving such negative reviews. Nothing fancy or shiny, but it was great... More
