Our stay at the Old Consulate Inn was our first B&B experience. I can honestly say every expectation I had was not just met, it was exceeded. Nathan and Cindy go out of their way to make every guest feel like royalty and they do it with finesse. They dress in period costumes and are more than willing to give... More

My husband and I had the true pleasure of staying at the Old Consulate Inn on April 13, 2013. I had found there website by somewhat of an accident and thought the home was lovely in the pictures. Since we were spending a week in the area, I decided we should drive over for a day and check out the... More

Great Victorian decor, wonderful views (of Olympic, Cascade and Rainier Mountains), and delightful room and food make the Old Consulate Inn a model B&B in fun small town. Staff shared good suggestions on local activities and restaurants enhancing my stay.

The Old Consulate Inn is a charming Victorian bed and breakfast that goes beyond the category of "hotel" and is a true experience of an earlier, more elegant time. The rooms are lavishly appointed, the staff are extremely helpful, and the grounds are beautiful. There is no TV, in keeping with the era of the establishment. There are wonderful books... More

Over the years my family and I have spent many nights at this B&B under various owners. Recently, my daughter and I decided to try it again under the current owners. I am happy to report that it is every bit as nice as it was back when we started staying there (1989). The current owners dressed in period costume... More

My husband and I spent this Easter weekend at the Old Consulate Inn, in lovely Port Townsend. I don't know what to say besides please do yourself a favor and GO! It truly is like staying in a museum, in the very best way. Tastefully decorated in period style but still so homey and comfortable. My husband and I particularly... More

My wife and I stayed at the Old Consulate Inn this past weekend while celebrating birthdays and anniversaries that cluster around this time of the year. We stayed in Room 1, which has a beautiful water view and a great reading nook when you just want to kick back and relax. Cindy and Nathan, your hosts, dress in period appropriate... More

Weary after an early morning and tide water pool spotting we found ourselves the sole guests. The hostess was very attentive and spent more than half an hour telling us the story of the house and the town, obviously not noticing our need of rest and something to drink. We had a room facing towards the back without any special... More

Just returned from a two night stay at the Old Consulate Inn to ring in the New Year! There were 10 of us and we rented 6 of the 8 rooms. We had the best time ever!!!!! The house is a wonderful old Victorian House loaded with charm. There are several musical instruments on display including a baby grand piano, organ and harp. If you are fortunate to be there when someone is celebrating a birthday you even get a breakfast serenade with a Hurty Gurty (one of the first stringed instruments). Breakfast was a magnificent 3...
