I stayed here the second week of March it was awful. The front desk manager took 20 minute to check me in, she had NO idea how to do it. And She was rude with tattoos showing on her arms.I have tattoos myself but come on I am professional and ALWAYS cover them when I am at work. When I... More

I stayed there 3/2/12. I learned from the staff that the hotel is bank owned and it shows. The staff is indifferent and unengaged. The bed had only a single blanket, no comforter. I had to ask the front desk for an extra blanket. The towels are so thin, you can see through them. The carpets are filthy, town, and... More

This hotel is dirty, no hot water, no towels even after several requests, rooms weren't cleaned, no frig or microwave, no bedspread or comforter on bed-just sheets & a thin under blanket. TV listings were limited to basic channels and news and 4 HBO channels with the same thing on.

Clean rooms, great front desk staff. If you are visiting Evergreen or its students you get a nice discount. Well worth the value.

We arrived in Olympia frazzled after a gruelling day's drive when we stumbled across the Capitol Plaza. The room we were allocated was quite dark and dingy with a window looking inover a yard (so no view), the bathroom area was small and to be honest could have done with a deep clean and some updating (the shower head was... I really don't know where to start. Day 1 the phone and tv didn't work and tub would not drain. Room had awful smell so several of us went out and bought room deordizers. My room was a walkout to the pool, but unfortunately the pool was empty, except for the 4 inches of slime in the bottom (see photo).... More

I stayed at the Capital Plaza Hotel 3 nights a week all summer for work and had a wonderful experience. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms always smelled fresh and clean when I arrived. The highlight of the Hotel was Teresa the night manager, she was so friendly and went above and beyond her job to make sure... More

Room was dirty -- filthy toilet, hair in tub, sink and bathroom floor, carpet not vacuumed. Walls were full of holes. Staff was rude-- apparently they don't realize that they're in the hospitality industry. I could go on but won't.

I've stayed at the Old Clarion (which was the name under the previous management) and put up with the lackadaisical service and beat up rooms just for the cheap price and a pet-friendly room - and the location (I run the marathon every year). When we showed up this year, the room we had booked wasn't ready but the staff... More
