We spent the weekend at Doe Bay. It came highly recommended and this was our first visit. This was the 'off season' so a little cheaper than high season. It is a beautiful location with lovely views of the water all around. There is a fair bit of choice of accommodation. Many do camp and can use the cooking facilities... More

We spent a weekend here when friends got married. We camped which was pricey but we had free access to the clothing optional hot tubs. We brought our kayaks which you can launch from the beach, or rentals are available. The highlight was the Cafe- we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there all weekend- we couldn't get enough of the... It's really rustic and peaceful. It's a lovely retreat. I like that cell service is spotty, i like that the rooms have no tv or phone. I want to get away when I go there. As soon as I get out of the car, I feel my body relax and slow down. It's wonderful. I have met some very interesting... More

This review is based on only one stay at Doe Bay and I was camping at Doe Bay Fest this summer so I didn't get to stay in the cabins or yurts that dot the grounds. However I wanted to comment on a few things that really jumped out at me. FIrst and foremost the setting on Doe Bay is... More

Four of us had a delicious dinner at the Doe Bay Cafe last week. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the wines and brought us tastings of two she recommended. We shared a bowl of clams to begin - served in a broth flavored with fennel, tomato and thyme - they were excellent. For dinner three of us were tempted by... More

I would not use the word “resort” to describe this complex. It consists of a number of unkempt cabins and negligible, questionable, “recreational facilities”. The cabin we stayed in was very poorly maintained. The furnishings were minimal. The bed was old and amazingly noising. The squeaking woke us up all night. There was no TV, radio, or even an alarm... We loved most everything. The cabin was probably the worlds smallest cabin, but the resort setting is beautiful and the Doe Bay Cafe is awesome. We would have given the resort a big thumbs up if not for our last night there. Make sure when you book that the resort is not having an 'event'. The wedding that took place... More

The view from the resort was impressive, but nothing else,The cabin we stayed in was moldy and mattress smelled of mold,no co2 units or smoke alarm exposed wiring.A few of the screens which were on were ripped and bent.Insects infested the inside cabin.I talked with the cleaning maid and her response was IT is what it is...........There are nicer places to... The resort has a variety of lodging, small cabins, yurts, cabins and tent sites. A well stocked community kitchen is available. We stayed in one of the small cabins, enjoyed the luxury of a small shower. Had a small kitchenette. Not the greatest mattress and no screens on the windows. Funky, but I really felt peaceful here.loved their organic garden.

I loved Doe Bay. We camped, but there are also yurts and cabins to rent. The restaurant was great...friendly employees and amazing homemade cinnamon rolls. I loved ending my day at the hot tubs that are perched on a hill in the trees over the water, and then waking up to fog over the bay. I will definitely stay here... More
