The elevator does work, and is regularly serviced and inspected. That said, it is old and quirky. Several times it has decided on its own to not let passengers out. Its an easy correction, but no fun for the guest. So we actively encourage our guests to use the one flight of stairs up to the guest room level.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and were very pleased with the room. The bed was very comfy, and loved the unlimited tea and coffee in our room. If we ran out, there was plenty more with all the fixins in the hallway. Oh, and the book rack to share and trade your books was great too....

We stopped here on our way home. What a nice place. We took a nice walk through the river park. The location was very quiet. Parking is just OK but it worked out fine. We would return.
Thanks for the great review. Parking is always a concern in Leavenworth. Fortunately, our 9-unit hotel has use of a 49 stall parking lot located on-site. We always provide a parking pass to our guests. That is one of the perks of staying at the Adventure Inn!

The Post Office (PO) Tavern is a local institution, but its not for everybody. Our family friendly beer garden, Der Hinterhof, reopens for the summer season in mid-May. And we are excited to announce that the Gypsy Cafe is moving in with its well regarded menu. Finally, great food to complement great beer and great music. Great!
