This was a wonderful place for us to stay. There were nice clean rooms and comfortable beds. We also loved the tile in the bathroom area, it added a nice touch. We have stayed here before and we definitely noticed the fresh new changes. We enjoyed our stay, once again, and we will be back for sure!
The Mill Village Motel is comfortable, clean and convenient; for trips to the wildlife part, Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad, and or the National Park. And it is the only real city in the area. So if you want to stay in a city vs a town when visiting the area, you have but one choice: The Mill Village Motel.

We stayed one night, not really expecting much. But we were charmed by the manager, Phyllis, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. That was just the beginning. When we asked about local kennels for our dog there were none nearby, but Harrison Christian happened to be there and he made arrangements for the dog while...

The place is clean and new. The receptionist was super sweet, and the breakfast had it all. Good location.
Our room was clean, generously sized and comfortable. It included a "kitchenette" with microwave, undercounter refrigerator, cabinets and counter which may be of value to those staying a few days to explore this part of Washington. The breakfast buffet included waffles, bisquits and gravy, cereal, fruit, juice, yoghurt and coffee/decaf. It was tasty and nicely presented. This motel is a...

We stayed here in July 2011 on the first night of our 12 day trip. The rooms were clean and we had a great night sleep. The next morning was a great breakfast and the owner gave us some great tips on where to drive. We would stay here again if ever in the area.
Just ok, there's no other choice really. AC took hours to cool room, likewise the refrigerator took hours to cool to proper temp. Didn't see any ants! Breakfast was ok, nothing exceptional. Quite pricey - $100/night - for what was offered.
My wife and I and our three year old stayed at Mill Village for five nights in August 2011, and we really enjoyed it. It may be the nicest "basic" hotel I have ever stayed at. Rooms are large (we had one king size bed) and very nice and clean. You can tell the owners care about the place. We...

I had no misconceptions about the motel, having read the reviews and AAA ratings and it was what I expected, a basic motel. the room was clean, and there has obviously been some remodeling, notably new AC units, but there were a few ants in the vanity area and the sheets and pillows had been around for a while.
