But we wanted to stay for two. The Des Moines Beach Park is 2 blocks away a nd includes a fishing pier! Check in was quick, although the lady smoking outside thinks Anthonys is cheap. The room was clean amd tidy and as basic as I needed/expected for the price. Would stay again

Definitely an old building but it has been renovated. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Had a kitchenette, but no dishes or utensils. Bathroom was clean but in a little disrepair. The towel rack was damaged, as was the tub and shower curtain. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Nearby restaurants were good. Very quiet area. Good access to highway.
