Not only were we blessed with a good weather day to view St. Helen’s but we were fortunate to stay at this wonderful getaway. Our daughter found and researched this place on-line. Very spacious accommodations, plenty of breakfast goodies, a serene setting for viewing wildlife under the covered patio or chilling in the hot tub make for a definite retreat.... More

I was part of a group of 4 college friend who stayed at the Essence of Health Retreat at the end of July, 2011. We stayed 3 nights and were wishing we had more time to spend there. The owners, Regina and Gary saw to our every need. Their skiils as hosts and massage therapists are both outstanding. We enjoyed... More

The quiet, the forest setting, and the best massages. As a drop in, or as a weekend destination, this place is truly wonderful, as are the people who run it.

From my first visit there I knew it would become a regular retreat for me. The setting is so peaceful with deer and birds feeding right off the patio. Sitting beside the cozy fireplace while dipping into some of the interesting books they have there is also a nice change of pace for my busy life. Regina and Gary, the... More

My husband and I spent one evening at Essence of Health Retreat and wished we had the time to stay another night. Regina is a wonderful hostess. The accommodations are lovely and spacious, and designed for relaxation. There's no tv, but they do have wi-fi. We stayed in one of the 2 bedrooms which double as massage studios. I had... More

We had a delightful stay at the Essence of Health bed and breakfast. The premises were immaculately clean abd beautifully decorated. The quarters consist of two large bedrooms and a spacious living area with a kitchen, living room area and fireplace. The property abuts a state park on two sides and is screened from the neighbors by a row of... More

One of the nicest arrangements in any bed and breakfast we've ever stayed at. A lot of attention to every detail. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly. I don't know what more could be asked of an establishment of any sort. Perfect spot for exploring Mt. St. Helens or any of the surrounding area.

We and another couple stayed for two nights. The location was perfect for our planned visit to Mt. Saint Helens and the Johnston Ridge Observatory. Both are roughly 50 miles away. Gary and Regina were wonderful hosts and went out or their way to make us comfortable. Three of us received messages during our visit and they were fabulous. The... More

Coming back from a trip to Mt St Helens, we spent the night and next morning at Essence of Health. - The place is magnificent! - It's really a guest house, with 2 separate large bedrooms, a living area with great decoration and a fireplace, a small kitchen, and a deck with your own hot-tub. All of this facing the... More

A peaceful home away from home. Hosts were friendly and knowledgable. Continental breakfast items were included (coffee, tea, locally-made rolls, yogurt, juice, fruit). Pretty patio area where you can watch the wildlife. Wonderful location. If we find ourselves near Mount St. Helens again, we will definitely stay here.
