My husband and I spent a weekend at the Mountain Rose Inn. We love Bed & Breakfasts and we were celebrating our Anniversary as well as going to the race at Martinsville. What a piece of paradise. We stayed in the Pride of Virginia room and it was quaint and lovely. There are two entrances with porches on either side... More

We enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing weekend at the Inn. We enjoyed taking advantage of the surroundings to hike, explore with plenty of lounging around. Star gazing outside on the porch with a glass of wine in the evening is the perfect end to any day. The room was adequate, comfortable and clean. The meals were exquisite, only to be... More

We stayed just the one night in the Pride of Virginia room and could not fault the experience in any way whatsoever. Dora Jane was a most gracious and helpful host throughout, the room had every convenience and lots of small thoughtful touches, the setting is both charming and romantic and the breakfast and all the many goodies left for... We took advantage of Chateau Morrisette's Winter Wonderland Getaway, and were delighted to choose Mountain Rose Inn for our lodging. We have stayed there before, and knew that our second trip would be as wonderful as our first stay at MRI. We were not disappointed! We traveled with another couple, and they too, loved the place. We relaxed by the... More

We wanted to get away from the hectic schedules and decided to stay overnight at the B&B. Its a beautiful house and a really nice property surrounding the house. The rooms have the old school feel but all the morder necessities. The fridge is stocked with soda, juice, ice cream for all the guests. The B&B is really well maintained.... More

We received a night stay at the Mountain Rose Inn for a Christmas present from 1 of our children. My Wife and I enjoy Mountain get-aways and we chose to visit for Valentine. We had a wonderful stay with great host. Everything was wonderful and the Inn is highly recommended. We stay in B&Bs 20 or more nights a year... More

We loved our one night stay here at the Mountain Rose. We wish we could've stayed longer, but we'll definitely be staying again. The room was cozy and luxurious. Rarely do you find a place away from home that beats the comfort of your own bed but this place did it. We've never slept better. Our hosts were welcoming and... More

Stayed here whilst driving the Blue Ridge Parkway in Oct 2011 - I am rating this Inn in comparison to other accommodation we stayed at during our two week stay in the States - check the reviews out for accuracy and honesty. The Inn was fine and the room, the pride of Virginia, was adequate even if it did smell... More

Stayed at the Mountain Rose Inn for 3 nights. It is a beautiful home and the hosts were very friendly. Our room was very attractive and the breakfasts each morning were fantastic. It is very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Floyd[ which is an interesting town] and the Chateau Morrissette[ which I would highly recommend for dinner. I would... More

Dear Creagh5: We are so glad to know that you enjoyed your 3 nights here at the Mountain Rose Inn. We agree with you that Floyd is an interesting and delightful town. With the bluegrass music, Friday night jamboree, local artisans and wonderful restaurants, it really is a place worth experiencing again and again. The short 6 miles from the... More

The Mountain Rose Inn is a delightful inn, extremely well maintained with very comfy bedding. The breakfasts are ample and tasty. The decor is pleasant and attractive. The porches, swimming pool, gazebo and streamside seating add to the ambience. The location is great for going into Floyd or Chateau Morrissette.
