My husband and I took a pre-deployment getaway last weekend and stayed 2 nights at the Applewood B&B. The house is beautiful, spotless, and has a very "homey" vibe to it. Our room was very comfortable and we were especially pleased that the mattress in our room (the blue room) was memory foam- just like home! Monty and Denise could... More

We were looking for a new B & B to try for our anniversary. Having stayed at several properties nearby we were familiar with the location of Applewood. The location was ideal, but was really impressed us were the owners, Monty and Denise. We felt like we were staying with old friends because we were made to feel so at... More

I just spent 6 nights with Denise and Monty in their lovely home across from the William & Mary campus and a short walk from downtown Colonial Williamsburg. While the convenience of location is a major plus, that's not what will assure my return to the Applewood on future visits. Plenty of B&B's and hotels in the area can make... More

We planned a week long vacation to Williamsburg and wanted it to be romantic and fun. We had decided that the key to our vacation would be to find the right place to lodge. We chose Applewood Colonial B&B based on the reviews it had received on a few different website. We were not disappointed. The Applewood Colonial B&B was... More

May I start by saying the inn is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and Colonial Williamsburg. This convenience was the attraction for our selection of this B&B. To our surprise we found the hospitality of the proprieters to be very engaging. Our room ( Blue room) was inviting with numerous amenities. The bath was clean and nicely decorated. The linens... A stay in Williamsburg has to include staying at Applewood. Denise and Monty welcomed us and made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were wonderful especially the Peach French Toast. The Tree Top Suite was very nice. We really enjoyed the fireplace. Loved the fresh baked cookies in the evening!!!! We will be back!!!! Larry and Judy

We stayed at the Applewood for two nights and had a lovely time. Denise & Monty were great hosts and the breakfasts were delicious. We were also impressed with the comfort of the beds and the softness of the sheets. The first night we stayed in the Blue Room. The room was cozy and comfortable. The second night we stayed... More

The Applewood Colonial B & B is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Williamsburg. Walking distance from Colonial section, close to restaurants and other attractions. My mother and I enjoyed four nights and four wonderful morning meals at Applewood while touring Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Besides being a fab cook, Denise is a charming hostess full of tips for where and when to visit the historic sites plus modern day restaurants and shopping. The house and gardens are a lovely prelude to the historic districts,... More
