As the heading says - a great little campsite in a great location (close to Paihia yet felt truly remote), we had no problems at all and would come back any time. Renting a canoe/kayak to paddle through the mangroves nearby was lots of fun, and the small nature walk nearby is nice, too.

We camped here for 2 nights on a waterfront site. PROs Good value. Nice kitchen and eating area. Lots of trees, lovely bush setting on the water. Small so not too many people. Free WiFi (but pretty slow) CONs Beach front was estuarine rather than sandy but still lovely. Small way out of town. Medium to small sized sites.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a campervan. The site is in a lovely position right on the water (its not really a beach but you can swim and kayak from it). The site is out of Paihia but its not a long drive back (maybe a long walk) if you want to see all the action in the... More

We were on a bit of a 'road trip' but when we saw this lovely spot we decided to stay. Real bonus being out of Paihia (quiet and relaxing) but close enough to the action if you felt like it. When the weather turned sour on us, we decided to upgrade to a tourist flat from our very small tent.... More

Great smallish camp site that was spotless and maintained by a management that were continually cleaning and ensuring the facilities were all shipshape. has own boat launch and many people used it who stayed on the site. Close to town but great for families as not IN town.

We stayed five nights in one of the 'tourist flats' with our two adult daughters and used the site as a base from which to explore the Bay of Islands by car. The accommodation was clean and well-equipped with linen, towels and kitchenware; the shower had loads of hot water and the ambience of the waterside location is delightful. The... More

Nice little campsite, $10 a night per person for camping. Views around bay are stunning. We walked to Pahia which took just over 30mins, not the 90 stated on the post at the campsite. Shop is poorly stocked so make sure you have everything. All in all acceptable

Our first night in a campervan on our World Cup tour and a very satisfactory one. We arrived lateish and just got glimpses of the fine view across the bay. The site is a small one, the facilities are clean and well maintained and the grounds themselves are grand. The owner initially seemed a little brusque but turned out to... More

Lovely wee campground. We have a motel unit which is well equipped and very clean. I can not fault it with regards value for money for a couple of keen fishos ready to hit the water tomorrow. Also big plus being away from the main Paihia area so very quiet

We stayed here for 2 nights and just loved the peace and quiet here and so handy to Paihia. The staff here are awesome, friendly and helpful. All the facilities were very clean and functional. Another bonus is the amazing birdlife, we watched Kingfishers catching their dinner from our site. Would definitely stay here again..
