This is the third time we have stayed at The White Swan, each time in the White Room. We prefer this room because it faces the back and thus has less road noise. We used a Treat Me voucher. The room is beautifully appointed, with attractive "in theme" furniture, and is huge. It has a lovely bathroom with a bath... More

My husband and I spent a night in the George Room at the White Swan last week. We took advantage of their midweek package - suite, champagne on arrive and 3 course dinner. It was all marvellous. The suite was much bigger than it looked in the photos on line. The main room, with balcony, was huge and absolutely beautifully... More

Greytown consists largely of a shortish main street lined with shops that offer a range of items of dubious value (at best), at ridiculously inflated prices, to passers-through of the kind who have more money than good sense. The White Swan fits in very well with this overall theme. My wife and I had been gifted an overnight stay with... More

Have just spent the night on a Grabone special and it was fabulous. We had the White room which was huge, has a great bathroom with a seperate bath. The place was spotless. We had a wonderful 3 course dinner, I even ate food I don't usually like. Had pre dinner drinks on the verandah in the sun,the staff were... More

We stayed for one night in the Madison Suite. Friends and family had said "Don't stay there unless you get this suite." The Madison is one of the larger suites in this small boutique hotel where each room has a different theme. Advertised as New York style it didn't quite cut the mustard. The bed was lovely and comfortable. As... More

We stayed here for one night and loved it. We were lucky enough to get the Georgian room which was absolutely superb. Grand in size and having your own veranda was the icing on the cake. We played pool in the bar downstairs for a while, service was a little slow at times but we were in no rush so... More

Stayed there one night on the way to Auckland. The room was small and looked like a converted garage with very old tv and old linoleum in the bathroom. Bad enough the walk upto the 2nd floor had a 90 degree turn on tiny stairs but the food was something else,or at least it might have been if I ever... More

We purchased a Treat Me voucher, it took a number of attempts to secure our stay due to the popularity of the Treat Me promotion which I dare say was "over sold" and demands exceeded the ability to service customers from this promotion. It was great to sit outside in the afternoon sun with a few drinks but we found... More

We bought a half price voucher from TreatMe, so at $199 including dinner we didnt have high expectations. It was great to sit outside in the afternoon sun with a cold beer. Would have been better if the waiting staff had come out to see if we wanted another rather thsn sitting idle behind the bar. The restaurant food was... More

Spent a very quick time in Greytown, was a rest stop/sleep on the way to Wellington. Its kinda like they are trying there best.. but not quite there.. This place has huge potential but small things let it down.. Not that I go away to watch TV, but 15 yr old tv's with bad reception and high pitch noises is... More
