The villas were luxurious with a beautiful period decor. We also booked at the restaurant. The food here was exceptionally good. Unexpected and on par with some of the best restaurants in Australia!!! The service by the young waitress was exceptionally poor. Making us feel like we were a total inconvience being there. We went with friends. 2 rooms at 320 per night. $640 each.You will find much better in the Hunter for a lot less. I am happy to pay this price when it's good. This place isn't. Arrogant owners and dishonest. Not only was it not up to the standards but the owners did not honor their written agreement. Stayed Friday... More

After my boyfriend suprised me for our two year anniversary by taking me to the hunter, we checked in at Nightingale.... When we arrived they couldn't find our booking but eventually got a key to the "sparkling room" (key ring had the word reception written on it and yes they had rennovated the reception into an extra room).
