Just returned from a wonderful 2weeks in this amazing hotel. We had upgraded to a lagoon room, which is well worth doing. After a long day by the pool or the beach it was lovely sitting by the lagoon watching the sunset. The food was amazing, didn't have a bad meal throughout the whole 2weeks. The staff were really friendly... More

One of the best holidays in my life. Great hotel, very friendly staff, wonderful beaches nearby (especially Pilar Beach), fantastic animations and so many possibilities to see the "real" Cuba choosing some of many possible excursions available. The only downside were mosquitoes but repellent worked well against them.

After landing at Cayo Airport, little hiccup with the cases from the aircraft to arrivals lounge but it got rectified, few agitated people but i was not one. Lovely greeting as we arrived at the Melia hotel, and it was never too much problem from any staff if you needed anything. Layami and Vivien great team in the main restaurant,... More

First and foremost, if going between now and roughly October take some serious anti mosquito gear. They are everywhere, even during the day. Secondly we went with Thomas Cook and did a two-centred hoilday here and in Havana staying at the Melia Cohiba in Havana (see separate review on that hotel and experiences of Havana) So the Melia Cayo Coco;... We had toured around Cuba, driving some 1200 miles in total, and chose this hotel to relax for the last three nights (albeit knowing we would have 350 miles to drive to Havana airport on the last day). It was interesting sharing the hotel with people from the UK who had flown into the island directly from Gatwick and Manchester... More

Just back from two enjoyable weeks from this hotel, second time in Cuba for us,and by far the best hotel experience. It did not start well with Thomas cook messing up the flight seats and then arriving to a smoking room when we are non smokers, had we pushed it we were offered an exchange day after. I will try to give... More

Went to this hotel for the first time in may and was so pleased we chose this resort. Have been to sol and Colonial in cayo coco and the Sol Cayo Guillermo twice but this hotel is by far the best. After a long flight out I was Mr Grumpy but soon felt better as we were greeted by an air conditioned coach and a short trip to the hotel. wonderful reception to a large hotel complex (if you have mobility issues review location of room when booking) with leisure pool (but good for swimming lengths at various times of the...
