I stayed here on a Saturday night in may 2013 with my son. I booked an executive twin room! And if that was executive then I'm Father Christmas. It was appalling! Very tiny room, very hard beds, broken blind, no chairs, no desk, very noisy outside. Also very noisy inside arguments, clatter and banging. The landing lights were on all... More

I spent two nights here again on a trip to Kent.Despite it being springtime the weather was freezing and the hotel room nice and warm. The service and staff friendliness very good.Really authentic and friendly Ship pub with bar food very near as are four Indian restaurants,a chinese takeaway, sandwich bar and supermarket.Ideal for the M25 and Dartford crossing,A127 London or Southend... We was made very welcome on arrival despite it being late, room was fine, shame beds a bit lumpy, well my Mum's was very lumpy but we resolved that by putting the spare duvet on it. Nice breakfast with plenty of choices. Free WIFI which was a nice bonus. A good value hotel near to town and bus stop outside,... More

I was here in early January 2013 and it was my first time but I am unlikely to come again. The room was meant to be an executive room but it had no chair to sit on, no light over the bed and a very small bedside lamp that did not work. The heating was turned off at night and... More

My partner and I stayed on a Saturday night in January 2013. It appeared to us that only 2 other bedrooms (near to our bedroom) were occupied in the hotel. There was constant noise from the corridor and the adjacent bedroom between midnight and 4am - talking, arguing, shouting, banging - culminating in the fire alarm being set off. We... More

I spent 6 nights here in December of 2012 whilst visiting my father and friends. It was perfect! Much better than a franchised hotel/ motel. The staff and owner were always very friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were delicious! I really so enjoyed my full English Breakfast every morning. Such a treat for me as i live in the US now.... I was staying overnight on a business trip. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room clean and well equipped, the breakfast well prepared and plentiful. Good parking facilities and easy to find. I would recommend it highly.

I was last here in June 2012 and have been here several times. However I am always totally objective when going back anywhere.I had a two night stay and found it friendly and with an excellent breakfast. The room was warm and cosy given the freezing weather outside. They are gradually refurbishing the rooms which will make things even better.Convenient for M25,Dartford crossing... I am from the Romford area but now living in Kent. I have stayed at the Mawney Hotel...less said the better. Havering Guest house...as above and The Premier Inn...not impressed. Gidea Park Hotel? Not so much a hotel, more of a guest house. Stayed in a executive suite. Just a larger room with a few more mod cons. Bit pricey... More

Had a 3 night stay here during the Paralympics (no obvious price hike!) and found it to be value for money. There is a decent sized car park at the rear and it is a ten minute walk to the railway station (through a quiet residential area). The rail line takes you straight to Stratford (20 mins) or on to...
