We splurged on our night in Switzerland, and expected to find a really nice hotel. Hotel was clean, reception staff were friendly. The Inseli sits beside the Lake in a quiet corner of the small town of Romanshorn, around 10-15mins walk from the SBB station. The Austrian owner was very kind and accommodating, with good knowledge and spoke excellent English. Beautiful four-star hotel on the Bodensee overlooking a marina. There were a few issues (no soap in dispenser, cheap looking furniture), but it was clean, functional and the view over the lake made it worth the extra bucks as you would expect in Switzerland. Very nice hotel restaurant make this an excellent experience.
