Las Gaviotas is a small complex of 16 apartments, right on the beach between Correlejo and the famous dunes national park. The apartments are separated from the beach by a raised pool area with one circular main pool and a much smaller children’s pool, barely the size of two baths side by side. Don’t expect to be able to swim... More

an absolute dump. Filthy dirty. There were roaches and and ants everywhere even in the teacups. The mattresses kept sliding of the beds. The pool was a health hazard with peeling paint floating in it. I was stunned that a place like this was allowed open for business there must be no controls what so ever. If you have booked... More

This dump is the very worst example of holiday accom there is,apart from location, which is why we chose it, has absolutely nothing in its favour,,,the appartments are pre-historic and obviously havnt been refurbed in a very long time,,,,the kitchen,,,if one could call it that, was very sparse, didnt even have a toaster,or coffee maker,,,ie spanish cafatera, the furnishing were not fit for a... When we were looking for somewhere to stay our main requirements were that it wasn't expensive & that it didn't look like a kip. The joys of being on a budget :) Some of the reviews we read gave me pause, especially the ones regarding thieves & stagnant pools of drainwater, but we went ahead and booked anyways. And luckily... The Iberostar hotel complex comprises three hotels: Las Gaviotas, Las Gaviotas Park, Fuerteventura Palace. The best one (best view on the beach, best infrastructure, best restaurant and entertainment team) is Las Gaviotas Hotel. There are 90% German and the staff is mostly German speaking, but it did not bother at all, as we speak several languages, but people looking for... More

We have just come back from a week's holiday which was unfortunately marred by our first evening out. On arrival we were impressed with the location and views, although clean there was a strange smell in the apartment. We went into town for a meal and left about 7.30pm. On our return two hours later we noticed the light was... More

My wife and I arrived at 7.00pm for a one week break over Christmas. The place was in darkness and there was no one around. We followed a sign to the reception and stood in some foul smelling water outside a ground floor room which was locked and unoccupied. We asked a girl that was working in the adjoining bar... More

Very nice apartments situated outside Corralejo. It takes about 20 mins to walk to town. Thats ok when heading in but seems forever when walking back. The apartments are lovely. Very basic and clean. The pool area is gorgeous - more or less right on the beach. However, on our 4th day, at about 5 in the evening we were... More
