"Without charm" was what it said in the guidebook about Calas de Mallorca and - having been there - I completely agree. There is nothing of interest in Calas de Mallorca - only boring tourist shops and a couple of very crowded (but nice) beaches.
However, as a base for investigating the rest of Mallorca, Calas de Mallorca is okay....
