Welcoming arrival, however was followed in to a lift and forced to play "cat and mouse" with a couple intent on robbing me, Thankfully I evaded them but it cast a nasty overtone on the rest of the trip. As our stay progressed, it was clear that like-minded thieves were walking the floors waiting for tourists - security appeared almost... More

So glad we ate in the monastery restaurant, excellent friendly service, excellent food, Tumbet....a great veggy dish that my carnivorous husband wanted instead of his own lovely Spanish omelette and salad ,good value, good white wine, other meals we could see looked excellent, so return visit planned, all in lovely surroundings, a huge room, wood stove roaring. 10 put of... Our Church organized a retreat to Lluc February 2013. As we were a largish group we had a variety of rooms. One couple was in the 2 bedded apartment by the little shop. This had a double bed in one room and bunk beds in the other, good sized lounge, small kitchen with full stove & fridge/freezer, but surprisingly no... More

If you are looking for luxury – an overnight stay here is not for you. If, however, you are looking for comfortable, inexpensive en-suite accommodation in tranquil and uplifting surroundings you can do no better than treating yourself to a night or two at the atmospheric Santuari de Lluc in the Tramuntana Mountains of Mallorca. Choose a junior suite if... More

We visited this monastery as part of a day excursion. We realised we would have spent a lot longer here had we made our own way there. Our priority was to take the short walk up the hill to see the metal cross up here that was brought from Jerusalem. There are striking religious edifices on the way up. if... More

We did take a trip up on a balmy Sunday afternoon and it was absolutely amazing, not sure I would want to stay overnight but it's remoteness and peacefulness would tempt you too! Nice place to take a picnic in the late afternoon and while away a few hours, the church and shrine are peaceful and beautiful, only interrupted by... More

We drove to Lluc only to find the monastery closed (5pm it`s the time) but the trip itself was totally worth the effort. The place is at 1300m above sea level and there is a steep hill you have to climb which takes quite a while. On your way you will see some unique forms of vegetation which I`m guessing... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in May 2012 and found it great value for money. Our room was clean, tho spartan, and had a great view over the roof of the monastery. We ate one night in the refectory and were very pleased with our meal. The other night we dined in an adjacent restaurant. We visited the area... More

I'm not quite sure what to say about this place, given its uniqueness! As other reviewers suggest, the monastery can get really busy, especially on weekends in summer, because it's a popular place for a family day trip. But when I was there in late September it was fairly quiet, especially in the evenings. The rooms are huge because they... More
