Excellent Hotel & service, but overly expensive. My (more than adequate) room was 380 euros per night for single occupancy, which was expensive enough but a further 20 euros per day for the most meager and unexciting breakfast was an insult, which was only surpassed on day 4 by my requesting an omelette to releive the boredom for which I... I always thought Relais Chateaux hotels to be some of the best in the world until I stayed here. On arrival 21.10 on a Friday night, & having phoned them to say we would be late we discovered that there was no porter meaning we had to carry our own bags to our rooms,One of us a lone woman with... A quiet , and very comfortable tasteful modern hotel well situated right by the sea on the flat Ile de Re - a cyclists' haven. We had half-board. The prices were pretty high. The restaurant had a Michelin star but although it was good, we didn't feel that the star was deserved and have had better food in non-starred places.... More

I have stayed twice at this hotel, for one week this year and one week last year and I really love it. The rooms are so comfortable with a gorgeous bathroom, a separate private garden and joy of joys for a light sleeper like myself so quiet. The hotel facilities are really excellent with a splendid swimming pool, elegant restaurant... More

This was a find after a very LONG day in the car. Spur of the moment decision after reading in an English language brochure from the tourist info centre on Ile de Re'. The brochure, however, was almost the last English communication. The room did not disappoint and the bathroom was huge with exceptionally modern amenities + the hard-to-find bonus... More

We were looking forward to a quiet break in a lovely garden with a pool. We found ourselves in a musty, damp-smelling 'bungalow' of basic furnishings. The 'garden' is the area between the 'bungalows' - which are in groups, ours was attached to three others and overlooked by three. The garden' is overlooked by neighbouring properties. The view from our... More

Last summer my sister took me to this beautiful place Ile - de - Re... It was a beggining of a great trip. We arrived pretty late but since we had a room reserved earlier, they called my sister's cell phone to ask if we liked our dinner served in our room since the restaurant would close in an hour.... This is really a splendid place to stay when needs a stopping point halfway down the West side of France. Rooms are functional, pool area tranquil. Seafood in the restaurant is just excellent. Beach is relaxing.

trapped in an unpleasant and damp self-catering cupboard we rang the poshest hotel we could see in hysterical desperation. they were fab. yes they had a room, yes available now, when we got there the reception staff insisted we check it out first before paying anything and they gave us a really cheap rate (because we were damp?) they clearly...
