We chose to stay in Reutte due to Rick Steves's travel guide, and we found Das Beck there. A good choice. The hotel is in the heart of town close to the train station. The room (simple but comfy) had a small balcony. Breakfast was honest. All summed, it’s a good value.

We stayed here in May 2011 during a trip to Germany & Austria. We used it as our base to visit several nearby sites: the Zugspitze, Neuschwanstein, Oberammergau, Ehrenfeld castle, etc. We were able to make a nice loop out from the hotel, see the sites and return in the evening. We enjoyed the food there, breakfasts and one dinner... More

This was a great location in Reutte, near the king's castles and good hiking, and the owners/staff were very nice and very helpful. They own a cute wine bar with good wine selections including local vintages. Would definitely stay again.

The reason we chose this hotel was to stay closer to visit the castles. But when we were there we found out there were so many more good hotels much more closer(5 min) in Germany. This hotel is a good 20 min drive one-way to the castles. So, the location not so great. The hotel is family owned and an... More

We are very sorry, that this guests didn't feel comfortable in our hotel. But we have to correct the following facts: In our bathrooms we provide two towels for each guest, reserve tissue and soapdispensers which are filled up constantly. We'll give you more of that and as much as you need on request. We offer freshly baked bread seven... More

Hans and Inga were very accommodating. We needed to leave early to get to the castles so Hans made sandwiches for us the night before. Inga made us coffee that morning and we were off on our adventure! Hans walked us to the bus pick up site the night before so we would be sure to be at the right... More

Stayed here only for one night on the way back from Italy with 3 persons. The owners were friendly and flexible in that way that they started breakfast 40 minutes earlier on our behalf. Nevertheless, breakfast buffet was complete and very good quality! Free internet available + desktop PC in the hotel. Room was clean, beds were good, only negative... More

This was a surprisingly great hotel. Don't let the unassuming frontage fool you - the staff is warm and helpful, our rooms were spotless - and we had a small balcony overlooking a pasture with sheep! A lovely, restful spot in the middle of a bustling town - we loved it!

I really wanted to love this place. It had high reviews in Rick Steves and elsewhere. The family that runs it really was sweet. Breakfast was awesome. It's a great location for exploring the area. We had a few issues, unfortunately. We had a hard time checking in. We were informed we could check in at 1. But, when we... More

We were touring in early May on a big motorcycle and a small budget. We must have got a free upgrade because the room was huge and near the parking. Very nice, clean, comfortable hotel with an excellent breakfast. Reutte is charming. The staff recommend a local restaurant which was a bit of a walk but may have been our... More

From the time we arrived we felt welcome. The staff were so friendly and helpful and offered really good advice on where to eat and how to access the Konigsschosser. The room was also large, and light filled. The sound of baaing sheep was an added bonus. The very fact that it wasn't a tourist town made this an appealing... More
