Being able to book a gay b&b in any given city is a fabulous option for me. That being said, Joluva Guesthouse was the best I have been to in my travels. Hosts Jan and Francis have created a haven for the world traveler and a mix of local boys. The possibilities are endless. from the moment you walk in... More

I have vacationing and studying Spanish in Costa Rica for the past five years. Then a friend suggested that I try studying in Granada, Nicaragua, where I should stay at a reasonably priced but comfortable hotel named Joluva. The city, with its tasteful colonial architecture, is amazing; moreover, Jan and Francis definitely enhanced my enjoyment of the city by offering... More

I had stayed at Joluva several years ago for 5 days and loved it. I was so impressed with Joluva and the owners Jan & Francis, and Granada itself, that I wanted to return to check out Granada as a possible retirement option. I ended up retiring and moving here several months later. More

A good pick for gay travelers. Proprietors Jan and Francis know the city and surrounding area well and have great tips on restaurants and nearby activities. Nice, simple breakfast, usually accompanied by lively conversation. Would definitely return. More

I had a very enjoyable stay at Joluva. It is located just a couple of blocks from the Central Park with some really great places to see and eat. The staff and friends of the hotel were so kind to give me great advice and show me around. The hotel arranged for a car to pick me up at the... More

From the staff to the room, everything is very nice. This place is not a "hotel" as one might call it however more of a personalized house, wake up and coffee and orange juice is already on the table for you, along with the fruit, toast with REAL peanut butter, and donuts. The pool side party is nice as it... More

Staying at Joluva felt more like staying in someone's home than in a guest house because of the hospitality of the owners Jan and Francis. Francis is a great host! Anytime we had a question about recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, taxi's, etc. Jan & Francis would take time to thoroughly answer our questions. Every morning we would look forward to... Jan and Francis were such wonderful hosts. I looked forward to every morning at breakfast listening to Jan tell his stories of all the travels and experiences he had. He would keep us all well entertained! Jan is full of information on where to go to eat, what sites to see and even who could take us there. The rooms... More
