Great idea to create a hostel there. A place to meet another backpackers, to share stories, to read in the tree or to practice yoga. Nice place, if you are carrying a backpack and not a have heavy suitcase. When you go there you'll understand why - its hard & stiff to get there. The dorm is basic, has beds... More

I've spent one unforgettable night at Poste Rojo. I met so many travelers from all over the world. The location was inspiring, the people were inspiring. I left Nica to fly back home to Michigan but my very dear friend actually stayed and worked at the tree house for over a week. It's truly is a beautiful and clean place.... More

The owners of Poste Rojo traveled extensively and created a hostel that's an amalgamation of everything cool elsewhere--set in a TREEHOUSE in the JUNGLE. Then they added the little things that we all wished were in every hostel. The rules are minimal and common sense. Everyone is easy to get along with and when they throw a party, it doesn't... More

I stayed as a volunteer at Poste Rojo for approximately three months within a six month trip. It left me with memories to keep forever. Not only can I say I worked in a treehouse, I can say I was surrounded by the most beautiful scenery every single waking day. Monkeys, treefrogs, snakes and spiders! I loved it all! This... More

Spent Christmas of 2011 at Poste Rojo. Had turkey, gravy, dressing, sweet potatoes, and pecan pie! What more could you ask for? The mood was mellow and the surroundings were surreal! Loved it! Will be back and soon.

I showed up to volunteer at the treehouse the night before the July full moon party and was in aww of the place. This was the first treehouse that I have been to so I don't have much to compare it to, but it truly is a magical place. The views are breathtaking especially during sunset and usually you can... Disclaimer, i was a volunteer here for two months. That being said, i started as a guest and found that i didn't want to leave. I stayed here in august and september of 2011, and loved every minute of it. I can't believe how many cool people i met here, and the beauty of the place is indescribable. This place... More

Treehouse Poste Rojo is definitely worth the hike up through the jungle to get there, and I loved their location - off the typical tourist grid. It's situated on the side of a mountain with a fantastic view overlooking the area. The whole place is pretty much a giant treehouse and has cool suspension walkways connecting some of the structures... More

My friend and I heard about the Treehouse through word of mouth as we were traveling in Nicaragua and could not have been more pleased. It was by far one of the coolest places we visited. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the food and amenities were nice, and the rest of the clientele were very fun. They even... More

I met some old travel buddies for a full moon party over the summer... Wound up stuck in the trees for a week basking in the sun, enjoying some beers, and doing yoga on the far platform. That was lovely.. Over Christmas I returned for an afternoon, and I was simply delighted to see all that had been done in... More
