My wife and I stayed for 2 nights on the Isleta in March. What an experience. The island is small but they never rent it to more than one party. The couple who takes care of the guests was very nice. We stayed at this little lodge for 2 nights and it was a very nice experience. It is not a luxurious hostal but it's confortable. It's on a small island in the middle of the Isletas. The island is tiny and you feel that you are on a special place. The meals are made by a couple who work there... More

We stayed three nights on the Isleta at the end of our time in Nicaragua and it was the most peaceful, serene and amazing time I have ever experienced. The stay was exactly what we were expecting with one exception - the rooms could use fans as it can get hot when the lake breeze dies down. The rooms were clean. There is no A/C or TV (A/C is not needed - the same could b argued about TV as well). This is a beautiful house / retreat that... More
