The Nang Nual Resort on Koh Chang Island was a pleasant surprise. It was actually by mistake that we ended up on Koh Chang when the mini-bus driver drove past Trat where we had a reservation and dropped us off at the ferry dock going to Koh Chang. This 'resort' lacks any kind of atmosphere. The resort felt eerily quite although it was apparently fully booked when we stayed.The staff were generally indifferent and at times rude. The breakfast was included in the room rate but of a very basic quality. The room did not feel clean and the sheet on each bed was actually a large towel... More

The bungalows (which are really two units sharing the same building) start at about 800 baht a night (during low season). It includes a free breakfast (your choice of a few including Western and Thai ones). You can negotiate lower rates if you stay several days.
