I'm not sure about the hotel room theme we've experienced, but a holistic yoga rooms seems quite odd to me. The unwashed teapot with leftovers of the previous hotel guest was not what you would call enjoyable. We did have a laugh when we witnessed the cemetery right next door. Who would think of this? Not for us...

The other reviews on TripAdvisor are what led me to choose the Hotel Floyd for a night's stay during my trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway and I am glad I followed their advice. Not crazy green. Just efficient green. The room we stayed in was beautiful. All the furniture was from local craftspeople. The head boards and box valences were lovely carved wood. The desk was beautiful. Even the small tables were exquisite. I particularly loved the cd player so that we could listen to the artists who come to Floyd. Beautiful experience.

We stayed here in the dead of winter. Really, really cold. We were in town for a funeral... doesn't get much worse. But I remember the hotel as being very warm and comforting. This is the best accommodation in Floyd--it's right across the street from the Country Store, where the Friday night jamboree is held.
