Stayed a night here. It is a one story hotel/motel along the main drive in Charlottesville, VA. We stayed here in October, but they did have an outside pool. The room was clean but the motel was dated and could use newer furniture and fixtures. No Breakfast, just coffee in the front lobby. They do have wireless internet. Not much... More

We were in a pinch to attend an event in Nor-Va for one night. This was the last place I wanted to stay, but had to. Other reviews talked about roaches. I prayed we would get lucky....we did not. We were greeted by some large roaches and many many babies in the sink and bathroom. This place has not been... More

Dear Readers, I hated it.........the housekeepers listen into my family's conversations about other people. The main got after my "friend" about asking people for money. The beds were so uncomfortable they felt like rocks. Plus you had to go out of the room before 12pm to get your rooms cleaned. they cost 70 or 64 or 68 dollars to stay.... More

We were visiting family in the area and wanted to take a leisurely vacation. We were trying to save money so we could spend it more on the attractions, shopping and restaurants in the area. So the location of this place was great and the value of about $55 a night was the lowest you can find in the area.... More

The outside looks ok. The rooms are grossly outdated and just pain nasty. This hotel is about 60 years old and it shows. It is in horrible need of a major renovation OR just a tear down. I was told the rate was $55. When I checked out, the rate was $75. The difference was that the ONLY night I... More

We stayed in this Red Carpet Inn during Family Weekend at UVA. Unfortunately, we waited too long to make a reservation for this busy weekend, and this was the only place that still had rooms. We won't make that mistake again. We were hoping for better, based on the reviews that stated that the rooms had been renovated. The room... More

In the area hiking and needed a clean, inexpensive, convenient, safe motel. The motel is in a convenient, safe location on Route 29; lots of food and shops nearby. It's an older property and from a distance looks OK. On closer inspection, the outside needs some cosmetic attention as did my room. Although clean, there was paint cracked and hanging... More

The room was clean, hot water worked and good water pressure. The beds felt fine and the sheets and bedspread were clean. There weren't too many other travelers there that weekend and the location felt safe. The heater worked great...a little too hot but it was easy to adjust.

I really enjoyed my last stay at Red Carpet. I have stayed in this red carpet a couple of times in the past and was satisfied, but not impressed. The rooms used to be very dark and had an old knights theme to it, but the new rooms are quite nice. The staff seemed friendly and the modern furniture (not... More
