This beautiful independant 170 year old, character filled inn is situated on the main street through historic Waterbury. On entering the building you're filled with the warmth and history of old Vermont with welcoming staff and a cute dachshund called Max. There's a sense of a relaxed lifestyle with come and go at your leisure ethos. The rooms are large... More

My wife and I made the pilgrimage up to Waterbury for a weekend getaway (5/31 – 6/2) to one the best beer towns in New England (Waterbury is the home of the Alchemist brewery as well as several places that sell some great craft beers). I chose the Old Stagecoach Inn due to the good reviews here on TA and... More

This old stagecoach inn was built in the early 19th century and has been beautifully maintained. The elderly owner was most friendly and interesting to chat to. We had a large room on the second floor with a private bath. Complimentary coffee and hot drinks were available 24 hours a day. Breakfast was enormous - there was a buffet of... More

We stayed a few nights in February 2013 in the middle of winter in the notorious Room 2. The room was decorated in the untouched, mumsy style of Nana's house, but had a new bathroom and was warm and comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing, especially the waffles, the hosts were accommodating and the accommodation was an easy stroll to some... More

This was a great place for a stopover on our Road Trip. We visited Ben & Jerry's, which is just up the road then headed to the olde world charm of the Stagecoach. There was a great Restaurant about 2 mins walk away after which we retired to the Inn's bar to try the local brew's. The Breakfast was fantastic,... More

I stayed hear for a night on a recent Vermont visit. I had planned on hitting several pubs known for their selection of outstanding Vermont beers in Waterbury that are all walking distance from the Inn. The room was pleasant, it had character and was just what I needed for a good nights sleep. The highlight was the breakfast which... More

Our visit to Waterbury, Vt, and the Old Stage Coach Inn was like a Norman Rockwell painting right out of the Saturday Evening Post. The place was charming, friendly, and cozy. We enjoyed their community living area around a beautiful fire. The breakfast each morning was very nice and they always had snacks out in the evening. The walk to... More

There is something to be said for the B&B experience, especially in VT. It is the right quaint feel for the local old fashion, country culture feel. Location is in walking distance to several local pubs/restaurants. It is nice location to try out local Vermont beer on tap and a close drive to Stowe. The queen bed was very comfortable... More

Waterbury has long been a stopping point between our permanent home in Cambridge, MA and our vacation home in the Northern Adirondacks. In the beginning it was just a quick stop for gas and to buy a bottle of Vermont apple brandy at Crossroads Beverage at Exit 10 off I-89. Then we got in the habit of stopping for dinner... More
